We began Astaria to share our passion with our community. The Menu is designed to give guests diversity and range within the selection of American-Mediterranean dishes. It’s called eating the “Astaria” way. Sharing… not just the food… but the experience as well. In our families, eating was an opportunity to have friends and family over and to share what you took pleasure in preparing.
Astaria is a 140 seat “intimate restaurant” in the historic Benjamin Franklin Hotel. We offer a diverse and fresh American-Mediterranean Menu. Many people ask, “what exactly does American Mediterranean mean? To us it means taking the best of both worlds... the authenticity and quality of food prepared in the Mediterranean region with the unique and fresh ingredients available to us in this part of America. Our menu is designed to fit a wide range of tastes as well as budgets. It was important for us to create a place where the experience is equal in service and taste whether the guest was spending $25.00 per person or $125.00. Our Wine List received the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. It mirrors the Astaria Menu in its depth and pricing. Convenient tasting notes make our wine list friendly and approachable.
When creating the ambiance at Astaria comfort was what we wanted our guests to feel. Our bar features a comfy purple sofa, and two over-stuffed chairs for relaxing and sharing a moment with friends. The lighting and colors chosen for the restaurant are subtle and welcoming.
